Climbing on to the Gumtree.

I've finally grew the apples to post on gumtree, quite nerve-racking! It's either a make or break for me. I wonder if anyone out there will see my ad? I wonder if anyone would consider me? I hope I don't freak out with my first client! It's nerve-racking but exciting at the same time. I hope this is the beginning of something bigger in my future, tv? music videos? HAHAHA I wish. You need the contacts to do that! lol. ..I really should update my portfolio!

what if?

What if I told my clients that I'm self-taught? That I didn't have enough funds to attend my dream school? What if I told them that all that I know & all that I can do, I taught myself? What if I told them that I've stayed up till 5 in the morning just watching Special Effects tutorials & Face Off marathons? What if I told them that I don't have a certificate to show them? What if all I can provide was photos of my work? Will they think I don't know proper sanitation without a certificate? How do I prove that I'm professional with or without certification? How crazy would it be if a self taught make-up artist can do better than a make-up artist that paid 15k for their certificate? Crazy.

For so long I've been looking into Special Effects Make-up schools. There are so many I want to attend, but in particular: ACMUSE. I really just need to gather enough funds & put a few priorities first before beginning my "dream". *sigh* The life of an adult right?! I regret not looking into this career path when I was high school.. Ahh, the possibilities, opportunities & experience I could of had! Silly me.. Oh well, better late than never right?!
